It's finally here…The mornings are crisp and dark, sunsets are coming earlier, and pumpkin spice EVERYTHING has hit the shelves. It's the most wonderful time of the year: It's FALL YA'LL!
Aside from all things pumpkin, fall signals a time of great change and limitless colors in the foliage—and makes for some super fun home decorating trends too. And you don't have to be a DIY Diva to get Instagram-worthy home décor, either. As with most things, keeping it simple is a fabulous way to go.
Wreaths, Wreaths, & More Wreaths
Door wreaths are often the first thing we change out with the seasons, and for good reason: your doors are the literal gateway to your home. And even if you don’t go all out with the seasonal décor inside, that little touch of festive flair on the outside goes a long way.
Whether you choose a neutral color scheme or a vibrant fall palette, wreaths are a quintessential element in any home décor rotation. Or change it up a bit and use the wreath in a creative and unconventional way—perhaps as a candle ring, table centerpiece, or placed over a mirror on the mantel or piece of art on the wall! Dried and Faux Botanicals
Faux plants and botanicals are seeing a definite resurgence in popularity and we aren’t mad about it! Have you seen the selections lately? These aren’t your grandma’s fake plants…these are gorgeous, life-like, and completely on-trend with what’s seen in the latest home décor magazines, Instagram feeds, and Pinterest boards. From boxwood and eucalyptus, to pampas grass and hops…this is a low maintenance trend that’s perfect for busy families and—ahem—those of us not lucky enough to be blessed with a green thumb!
Wood Décor
Would it even be fall if there were no wooden signs? We’re not so sure anymore! Classic wooden signs have become a staple in signaling the changing of the seasons—ranging from sophisticated to playful; from rustic, natural wood to crisp, bright white; and everything in between. And there’s no end to where they can be displayed: Hang them in an entryway, over a fireplace, the front porch, the bathroom, or even stick them in the yard or at the gate!
