School is finally back in session and for a lot of us, that means freedom that we haven’t seen in more than five whole months, right? So, what to do with all that newfound freedom? Sure, there’s work to be done, but there are also a whole lot of ways to spoil ourselves a bit while we do it!

So, whether you’re into great food, refreshing drinks, healthy or fun activities and adventures, or just plain ol’ ways to make life easier as we roll into fall, this list is for you!

Because you’ve gotta eat, so it might as well be good!

1) Did you know you can enjoy charcuterie boards to-go? Pick them up curbside at The Local Juice Co., The Bevy Provisions Co., or Tusculum Brewing Co., then take them home to enjoy all by yourself.

2) If easy weeknight meals for the whole family are what you’re after, Low & Slow To Go’s fresh-frozen crockpot starter kits are the perfect healthy and delicious make-at-home option.

3) Or maybe a family meal from Dog & Pony Grill, Hungry Horse, 259 Brantley’s Bistro, or The Dienger Trading Co. will hit the spot.

4) Also, five-dollar pizza and calzones really are a thing with Richter Tavern’s Happy Days special, each Tuesday and Wednesday and that’s a deal that just can’t be beat!

5) And perhaps the easiest of all the options is a quick order and delivery from one of many fantastic Boerne restaurants, courtesy of locally owned delivery.com (formerly mytown2go.com).

Because sometimes a drink is in order, too.

6) Pick up a $5 cocktail from Richter while you’re grabbing those pizzas and calzones.

7) Or fresh-pressed Fiesta Jugs, Collagen Lemonade, Boozie Smoothies, Juice Cleanses, and Cocktails-To-Go while you’re visiting The Local Juice Co.

8) Tusculum Brewing Co. can hook you up with a frosty beer (or two) to go along with that charcuterie or meal pick-up order and

9) Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. has not one, but two new summer brews on offer: Beck’s SMASH IPA and Weiss’ Porch Swing Wheat.

10) Dodging Duck Brewhaus is still offering all your favorite meals to-go, but also has a brand new craft beer to try: Ask for the Hefe-Rye-Zen with your pretzel and sausage the next time you go.

11) And what’s better than drive-through beer? Head to Boerne Brewery, Tuesday through Saturday to grab a six-pack of the tasty tried-and-true local brew for $7.00…tax included!
