Those of us blessed enough to call Boerne home know just how good we have it. Our picturesque small town is the gateway to the beautiful Texas Hill Country, where life is pretty sweet.
As we locals know, Boerne is no longer the well-kept secret it was back in the day. People are moving to the Texas Hill Country in droves and who can blame them? In Boerne we offer a historic Main Street, excellent schools, a vibrant music scene, authentic quaint charm, plus easy access to the San Antonio International airport.
Our famous Hill Country Mile has countless eateries and retail shops all within walking distance, making us a welcome respite for the weekend city crowd. There’s always something to do and something to see. Whether you’re in town for “2nd Saturday” Market Days or just spending the day visiting nearby wineries and shopping Main Street, Boerne is truly a wonderful place to get away from it all.
The locals are proud of our small town and strong community spirit. Visit a few shops and you’ll see just how proud! Boerne memorabilia is one of our favorite ways to decorate and show off our little town. You’ll find pillows and tea towels, t-shirts, caps and lots more. And it’s not just for tourists: We all love wearing our Boerne pride, especially when it gives us a chance to explain to newcomers exactly how to pronounce “Bur-nee.”
